Jewel 190

Hi, I just got a second hand Jewel 190 to replace a tank that broke. Should it have, and does it need, anything under the tank to stop the glass breaking or is it designed without? I ask because thats what happened to my last tank, I forgot to put something under it and the bottom glass broke.

Ok, you need to look at the bottom of the tank. Does the glass sit directly on the stand or is there an air gap (floating base).

If its the former then you need polystyrene under it.

If its the later, you dont.
