hi yeh it's fine 2 purchase it from ebay i have with no problems i just after recieving it wash it really well then put a kettle of boiling hot water over it just incase, it doesnt seem 2 bother the moss and still grows just aswell. but.... make sure u by in from some 1 that grows it submerged there are a few that grow it emerged and it tends 2 be alot browner and less quality

yeah java moss is hardy as anything and survives posting pretty well........ in fact we took some bits of wood which were covered in moss out of the tank maybe a month ago now, when we did it was a v stressful day and everything kept going wrong, we were changing round the whole set up so was a fairly big job. We wanted to keep the wood so we just chucked them in a bin bag and dumped them in the cellar and forgot about them. I went down there the other day and spotted them, the moss is still green and healthy looking i actually don't think it's possible to kill the stuff
