Hi, can any one tell me what are the good point and bad points of java moss, because its the only thing that is growing in my tank due to my light dieing and I was looking at getting a new light and putting some new plants in and to do so im going to have to remove almost 90% of my java moss that’s growing in my tank. its every were, I have a forest of it :) and was think that if I remove so much it might upset the balance in the tank. So any good or bad points would be helpful because if there are more good points ill just work around it because I do like the look of the plant but I will have to remove at least half of it. Personally the only bad point I have found with the plant is that if it does get in to the filter it grown in their too. Oh and just a really silly question is java moss bad for some fish.

nope i wouldnt think so, some fish liek to lay in it... i think it woudl provdie good shelter, but id remove some of it if you were overloaded, and if your in the area...(puts down my head in shame..) may i have some

thank you for that, i thought it would be fine but just not want to take the risk, I'm not that good with fish tank plants thats why i asked. and to answer your question i would but i live in Australia lol, sorry bout that.

my MTS snails either live in my java moss or my sandbed.
