Jack Dempsey Or A Blue Acara

ive got two jack dempseys and two acaras mine didnt get on asoon as the jd's were big enough they went straight after the acaras , i now have them in there own tanks . I think jd's are far better fish they are great to watch

im not suprised all them fish in a 30gal the must have amy room to move unless they are juvees then a tank upgrade will be needed in the future

Who said anything about a 30 Gal. I am talking about stocking my new 55gal.

Ok here is what I'm thinking will be best.

55 Gal
2 blue Acara
6-7 Black skirt tetras
1 Rubber nose
1 Chocolate doradid or another type of catfish

I want a group of cory cats but I fear for their lives with the acaras around what do you think.

I'm thinking if I can't find the blue acaras I will go with the firemouths. What do you guys think of them?

blue acaras will be fine with corys ive got 12 corys in my tank with blue acara sevs etc and nothing bothers them at all.

Yep I shall second what Mark says, cories will be fine, only time they might get some warnings, is if you get a breeding pair and the cories go near the spawning site, but once they know its off limits, they will stay well clear.
