They are in the 60 litre with the rehomed (deformed danios) and up untill recently 7 juvi platy's. Two days after a work colleague rehomed the platy's for me I noticed the fry. The more I take a peek the more I find. The female look's like she still has a lot more inside. How many can I expect? The young all seem independant and are feeding well. Sorry no pics as they are too tiny for my camera. Gill will probably clarify that the parents are the japs he kindly let me rehome for him. Oh fishyfeet, they are all longtail's. Sorry. :hyper:

You can expect the fry to all be delivered in a short time. To me, that means that the female platy has probably finished dropping fry by now. I find that platies are usually all done dropping fry in just a few hours.

Thank you, I don't think they are Platy fry, I rehomed some of gill's fish. Your right though there is loads of them. and just to add to the fun, two of star4's ellioti have paired up in the 4ft and are digging a pit. Looks like I'm going to be a mum again. :good:

Considering this tank is teeming with fry my camera is just not strong enough DOH. You can just make out one against the wood, and the female at the bottom. The older fry are showing some markings already so by November I should be able to sex them, Fishyfeet and I are going to swap males and females then. I just wish I had a camera to justify the colours of the males, blue/green which turns yellow under a certain light with their long flowing tails.

Quick up-date of the Eliotti pair, digging pits everywhere so I expect fry soon.

As old as I am, my vision is just not that good. If you are happy with your fry, that is what really matters.
