Its Amazing How Much 1 Fish Can Change Colours

was going thru my old pics and came across these of my old jade eyed cichlid . ive never had a fish that would change colour / appearance so often . note these photos are all of the same fish over a period of several months .

this is when i 1st got it

then when it grew settled and coloured up this was its usual dress

then 1 day it suddenly made a striking change

and just when i thought it couldnt change any more i found it guarding eggs in this colour

no mate closest to positive id i could get was spirulus

looks good fully coloured. Just looks like a moody little thing, changing moods all the time, haha.

yes it did change colours a lot with moods, made it a nightmare trying to get a positive id cos it never looked the same from 1 day to the next lol
