hello there! i'm mostly from the Betta forum, so i'm not a coldwater fish person. i had a red-and-white Lionhead pair when i was seven, but otherwise i'm not a Goldie-person. i've helped my dad with Tetra and marine tanks for a while and now have my own aquariums.

now, the little Betta-and-frog duo down there, in the gallon tank? they were living in a gallon penn plax before. now my brother has taken charge of the little brown-lidded tank. it's outfitted with a pound of black Hagen gravel and a single broad-leafed red silk plant. it's inhabitants? a single, black Moor named Bug. yes, i know, a gallon is NOT enough for a Goldfish. unfortunately it's all we can do for now, and my brother desperately wanted his own pet. by Christmas he'll have a ten gallon tank all to himself, and perhaps a friend. he's little over an inch long now, so i'm sure he'll be fine until then.

now, we just brought Bug home today and dunked him into the tank. he was transported with a Pleco, and decided to harass the poor thing and suck on it's eyes (Stoney- the Pleco- is hiding behind the heater now, scared half to death by my Loaches) well, now he's in a corner sucking on rocks. he's eaten two food pellets, but otherwise seems to enjoy eating his rocks. is anything wrong with him? my brother is so freaked out, thinking his precious little 'Moor is sick or something. he's not actually eating the rocks, mind you, he's just picking them up and spitting them back out.

  chill chill chill, it sounds fine. Just a little tank shyness. Keep an eye on things, and if things get worse. Including fish floating on the water surface with their bellies in the air... Then #### yourself. keep us updated.
