Is This Too Much?

I know the basic rules but was after someone with a bit more experience's opinion I have a 300-330 litre tank (bowfront so hard to work out exactly) and eventually would like to have:
12 neon tetra
6 penguin tetra
6 glo-light tetra
5 platys
7 guppys
3 balloon mollys
1 sailfin molly
1 sailfin plec
2 honey gourami
2 dwarf gourami
4 corydora sterbai
2 apple snails
and a few cherry shrimp
Would this be ok or not? any suggestions are welcome.
Some of these I already have from jumping in head first as a newbie and poor lfs advice a while ago but this would be my ideal end stocking

I can't address the total number, but must ask why so many different fish types, rather than just focusing on a few species and having more of them?

The corydoras would be better suited in a larger group than 4... at least 6, and maybe as many as 10.

I'd also probably stick to getting 12 of either the penguin tetra or the glo-light, rather than 6 of each. They may shoal together, but I think the single species shoal is much more eye catching.


And, I don't understand your numbers of livebearers? What is your goal with that?

welshfish i think your choices are great. they are all beautiful fish. im not sure how high the stocking level will be, but they are pretty and will get along

One dwarf gourami, or 1m to at least 2f. Likewise with honey gouramis - a group of 1 m and a few f would work. Never two males basically, dwarfs particularly.

I think streamlining your ideas might be a little better - going with one or two types of tetra in a bigger group (far more attractive to watch), fewer livebearers (Id suggest no mollies, which tend to do better with a little salt), and a far larger group of cories instead.

Thank you all for your responses baloon mollies are my favourite and I'd like to only have those as my livebearers but I already have the platys and guppys I'm trying to get another smaller 2ft tank to move them too so if I do they will be the ones ill get more of I also already have the troublesome sailfin so he has to stay and the 4 corys that I intend to make up to atleast 6 I think ill go 4 12 glolight tetra rather than mix them with penguin I just liked the look of them when I saw them mixed at LFS and assumed they'd shoal together as they were there.

Well, remember that ultimately you are the one who is going to be seeing this tank all the time. So, you need to stock it with what YOU prefer, rather than what others prefer. There isn't anything wrong with 6 glolight and 6 penguins.

agree.. i find too many different fish in one tank is annoying.. (to me...)

if i were you.. i will go for..

two type for bottam.
two type for top
two large group for mid range

and 4 large ''centerpiece'' fish..

4 or 5 odd balls like gn or bn.

jump in... head first...

I too would go with larger shoals of same species rather than mixing them up. Also I would stick with fish that like the same water parameters so everyone is happier. It has to be a compromise of what you like and what the fish like. I always have a tendency to go with more what the fish like.
