I have a new 125 litre aquarium, which I just wanted three species, mainly Cardinal Tetras, Amano shrimp, and two Honey Gouramis,
My store, manager who has been excellent with me recommended 30 Cardinal Tetras and I have 5 Amono shrimps and hope to add the two Honey Gouramis,
The 30 Cardinals are in, and it does seem a lot, do you think I will get away with this, I have a good filter an Oase Biomaster 250, which has a good pre filter.

How you do depends not on the filter, but on old fashioned water changes. Stay with weekly, get some aquatic plants growing (it makes cardinals less stressed) and build a routine, and they'll be fine.

Thanks for that i have already live plants and waiting for another three arriving, I'm a great believer in water changes always take out 12% weekly in my two tanks.

I have 60ish in a 200l tank so that should be fine as long as you don't add a lot of other species. I change 75% water most weeks. 50% would probably suffice - but I suspect 12% would not be enough.
And yes lots of plants with not too much light.
