Is This The Proper Betta Tank Setup?

One plant is silk and the plastic one he seems to love and rests and swims all around it and so far no damage has been done but I will keep an eye on him.

:good:

also, the heater should be at a 45 degree angle sort of like \.
The thermostat is at the top of the heater.
The angle will ensure as far as possible that it reads the correct temp.

I always feel sorry for a fish on it's own.
I know Bettas are solitary, but maybe raise the water level, add a few more plants & maybe add some shrimp or a small, or some compatible fish

If I t is a common plco than I would invest in a larger tank, because they can easily get 16+ inches IME. :good: I wouldnt place him in the 10 gallon even if he is small right now, in theory he will never out grow that tank as his growth will be stunted so I wild just keep him I the 37 and start looking for a larger tank to rehome him to or to buy for him

I have a betta in a 10 gallon right now with 2 mollies and 2 platties. I never really liked the look of bare bottom tanks, they don't look as home-y, and I was going to ask if you were going to raise the water level too.
I am getting a 26 gallon tomorrow and I am having a tough time deciding if I should move all my fish into the new one yet or not, but I know I am going to keep my betta in the 10 gallon, but I don't know who he would be more happy with, alone or in a community
