Okay, so I bought sum neon tetras for my new tank. I wanted a peaceful tank for a change instead of an agressive tank. I have a swordtail, 2 guppies (looks like one male one female), a red tailed shark, a clown loach, 4 mixed cory's (peppered, swartzi, albino and bronze) and one pleco. 6 neons would look nice i thought so bought some. now, a few days later, 4 a fat and 2 seem to be thinner. 4 females and 2 males? i highly doubt they would be breeding after about 3-4 days but I was just wondering if this could acctually happen?

oh yea, and the tank is heavily planted with 3 rocks. 1 on its own and 2 making a cave for the pleco and shark.

no i woudnt think their breeding , i think females tend to be more 'plump' than males, thats probly what it is :good: .
can i ask what size tank you have?......

Neons are very difficult fish to breed and the chances of them breeding successfully in a community tank is highly unlikely, if not only because they are prone to eating their own eggs and fry and their fry are light sensitive too.
