hiya all
well i've just come back from my lfs & did what i always try not to do impulse buy :X , but i did have a good reason. anyway what i've got is a betta the reason i got him was because of the "bag" he was in, it was just sooooo tiny see photos. now i do i alclimatise him with so little water to work with. at the moment he is in my cory fry tank still in bag so he won't get cold. also do you think he will be ok with 3/4week old cory fry. thanks trace

i know :-( :-( even hubby said his blood was boiling in the shop. they had at least 12 of them floating in little bags like that in the plant tank, thats why i got 1 thought at least i might be able to get 1 of the poor buggers a nice life

Looks like a travel bag. Maybe they were being acclimatised before being put into tanks?
How big are the fry as he might try and hunt them. I personally wouldnt put him in with any other fish as you dont know if he might be carrying a parasite or disease and it would spread to the other fish.
Do you have a spare tank with some heating in it that you could quarantine him with? As for putting him in, just add a little bit of tank water every 15 minutes so he gets used to it and after a couple of hours he should be fine to go in, but you need to open the bag if its sealed.

hi black angel
yeah i have got another tank, think its about 8 gallon. its 1 of those critter keeper things, have it for emergnacies, but i don't have a heater for it. although i could put the mollies back in the corner tank, put the cory fry in the 28 gal & put the betta in the fry tank.
think i will just set up the critter keeper for now till i can get him out of this bag then i can juggle every 1 about :X :X
