Sorry for the poor picture, this is the best one out of many I have taken for my friend.

He is sometimes swiming in the group, seems to be eating (hard to tell he has a few)

All the others are bright red/blue this one looks pale and as you can see the red doesnt come up under the belly.

Hes been like this for around 2 days it might be more.

Does this look like NTD?

Hes currently isolated until we can figure this out. Thanks for any advice/help in advance

Hard to say for sure as fish often lose colouration when they are stressed. But having said that, yes, it is one of the main signs of NTD. Is this fish breathing rapidly (watch its gills for a few minutes). If so, then it does sound like it could be NTD.

Do a water change (about 30%) then treat the tank with Protozin or similar med.

Is it being picked on by the others? Sometimes other neons will single one fish out for bad treatment - sometimes because they are ill.

Best separate it incase there is an illness that can be spread.

Thank you both for the replies

It doesnt seem to be being picked on, it has its its moments where it will go on its own for a while and then rejoin the rest of them.

I would double check when I finish work to see how the gills are moving. I will sort out some meds and a water change when I get home too.

What about lead time, is there say a maximum time it takes to develop into NTD? for example he has been like this for at least 2 days if we keep him isolated for another 4/5 days and he is still fine eating/breathing right etc can we assume he is stressed or maybe a genetic colour problem?

Hi - have a read of the info on the website below - it might give you the answers to your questions as I don't know personally how long the disease takes to go full blown. Sorry, am at work at the mo and just been given something to do so must rush!
