I would wait till the fish pass away before adding goldfish, or rehome the fish you have when there better.

How many gallons is the rio 180?

If you have another tank yes you can take a mature filter sponge from another tank.
But only once you done water changes and run some black carbon.

Its meant to be 180 litres hence the name,but with gravel i make it 160 litre,i got waterlife maxicin- spelling could be wrong,it does pop eye red veins fin rot body rot and other bacteria strains,im i think waterlife are good so fingers crossed,i got to add on days 12345,so should be strong.

Myxazin not my choice for a severe bacteria infection. You need an internal bacteria med.
Red veining can be septicemia.

You need furanol 2 by jbl but it wipes the benefical bacteria out in the filter.

My fish dont have red veining,the med just treats it also,i cant find jbl in any lfs,Ive started the waterlife med now,will let u know wt happens.
