So I bought 4 red wag swords about a month ago. I assumed they were all female as they all four appeared pregnant. I had one die last week, and then this week I noticed the male. So my question. With 2 females and one male, plus the single fry I have left, is this okay as a ratio or should I change the ratio?

1:2 ratio should be okay, but I personally would add another female. I like to have 3:1 at least, but right now I have 2 males and 7 females.

It's always best to have more females than males, so it's a good start. The more females the better but two would be the bare minimum. Three or more is a bit better.

Having said that I have two females and one male guppy and theyre fine, he doesn't bother them that much. If he ever becomes really frisky and pesters them a lot more I may add another female or two.

Just watch them and use your best judgement.

I plan on adding more fish sometime in the next month, I'm looking at other sword breeds, and A few others. I havent quite decided yet

You should look into Solar Flares or Twinbars. Very nice additions.
