What do you feed the fish?

For now try some shelled peas.

Long stringy white poo can be consipation, bacterial infection, internal parasites.

Signs of internal parasites are.
Long stringy white poo, clear mucas poo. or red poo.
Worms prutruding from the anus.
Red inflamed anus or enlarged anus.
Fish will look skinny or bloated.
Sunken in belly.
Bent spine.
Fish will sometimes swim on it's side.

Sterazin by waterlife not a very good med for internal parasites.
I think It says it only controls them.

they are fed quite a varied diet including frozen krill mysis black mosquito larvae cichlid mix bloodworm etc. they are quite fond of the sinking pellets thecatfish eat and i also feed livefoods such as daphnia. have tried peas but they are just not interested in them. the poo is stringy and kind of off whitish mucusy look to it . also the females colours are very changeable some days shes so pale shes hardly got any colour to her

Ok.
It's bacterial then to internal parasites.

Do the fish look pale or darker in colour.
Is the fish resting alot or leaning to oneside.
Is the fish acting listless and lethagic.
Does the fish turn upside down.
Hows the body weight on the fish. Does she look thin or bloated.
Any sores on red streaking on her body.

body weight looks good swims normally colour virtually non existant very washed out and pale . doesnt turn upside down no visible streaks or sores on body . aside rom total lack of colour and the stringy poo she appears generally in good shape

All I can suggest is issolating her and try an internal bacteria med for now.

have just ordered a bottle of interpet abti internal bacteria med to see if it helps.

Ok. That's fine.
Keep a eye on the fish for internal parasite signs.

If you don't mind can you let me know how the fish gets on.
Good Luck.

of course i will do once shes had the full course of treatment . thanks for your help
