I would agree, may be as the fish is white the gravid spot cannot be seen, but she does have the shape of a pregnant fish.

Yep going by that pic she is quite a way into her pregnancy,i'm no expert on mollies but i reckon to expect fry within the next week or so :good:

Have a read of oldman47 topic on mollies progress, which is pinned at the top on the page, this has a excellent write up :good:

What other fish do you have?

By the way mollies do go to the bathroom alot, its quite normal

thanks for the info

i sow the topic and i it was help full for me

and i was werried about bathroom thing but not naw :)

should i wait for the spot to show or should i put her in breeding trap??

Gravid spots don't always show on livebearers, when shes due she'll start to hide away near the bottom or top of the tank, normally by the heater or filter, another tell tale sign is if you have male mollies the will start to chase her nipping at her rear end..

If you have plenty of plant coverage let her have them in the tank, putting her to early in the trap may stress her out and she might abort the fry.

When my livebearers first dropped i managed to catch them with a turkey baster and put the fry in a trap,in time i got used to when they were due to drop within a day and would gently catch them, few hours later out the fry come, then she was back in the tank.

Its not good to keep them in a trap for more than 48hours.

what i did when my guppies popped babies was watched her closely. if she looked much skinner than the last time i saw her, i would take out the breeding trap and just put the babies in. putting the female in causes a lot of stress, and she can abort the birth and die. the birth is also a lot of stress. i have had many pregnant female livebearers and only 1 had ever survived pregnancy and birth.

A white colored molly will never show a gravid spot. The colored skin prevents it showing through. Your molly looks like she is about a week or less from a drop. As far as placing her in a breeder trap, most are simply too small to be used with a mature molly. Provide lots of cover and you should have a number of fry survive a birth.

thanks people for the help

this is my first time i will make a fish breed

i am so new to this

all the other fish are going around her and piicking her end tail area and wont let her stay 1 place

And, i have another molly ballon she is not playing with any one

she likes to sit a lone next to the filter or at the botom and no one wants to play with here too

i cant know if she is going to be a mom coz she is fat ballon !!

Oh and she is black with white spots

about my molly i dont want to miss her droping and i want the babies to live if she drops at the main tank.

i planted the tank with trees but the fish are chasing her even ballon molly.

so i hope to have babies soon .. pray for me :)

if you get the chance, look at her every few hours, or as often as possible (but you don't need to spend all day looking at her!). if she gets noticeably skinnier, your a parent. she may also be at the top of the tank after she's done as if she was eating, 'cause shes gonna be hungry. you have to look very carefully for babies, but their colors will already be developed.

thanks Harlequins , AstonN24vantage , OldMan47 and Westwood
