I can't find my Card reader, so I can't show pictures atm but She's only been here since Mon night, she hasn't eaten--we thought she was adjusting. No white spots, or cloudy eye, but extremely lethargic. The others kind of ignore her, and I went to fish her out--no part of her was moving--and she moved over an inch or so, making it hard for me to get her. Not even the pleco seems to notice her suddenly. My quarentine tank is full with a pregnant molly...just moved her about 20 min ago, what do I do?

She's Gone. We're returning her tonight. RIP Sally...

im so sorry that i wasnt around to give you some advise when you needed it -_-

it would be good idea just to check your stats, my LFS wont refund any fish that have died without checking my tank water and if all is ok then i get a refund but if not they wont, which is understandable. some fish get so stressed when in transit even if it only a short journey to your home and this will have a huge affect on them, its always a good idea to add some of your water conditioner as it also reduces stress on new arrivals. so sorry for your lose and i hope that they have replaced your fish for you.

you can always get me by PM which will come up as soon as i get on the forum :good:

Thanks.
The LFS we go to has a 15 day guarentee. They do usually check the water, according to the reciepts, she didn't today though because she had just checked it Monday when we bought the fish. They even exchanged it no problem.
I have to say though, we have bought a total of 10 fish (minus the new one from the exchange) and this is our first death. Not too shabby.
This one is even prettier though...

The problem is usually due to the stress of importing the fish, if they get a gill infection this reduces the amount of oxygen the fish can take in and and basically they suffocate, this is why they bend to become lethargic, swim on the surface and gasp at the surface.

You should think of perhaps doing a premeditave treatment to kill any protozoa or bacteria in the water.
