Is salt ok with snails?

I have a fresh water snail. I use about 2/3 tsp of salt per gallon.Is it ok to use salt with snails??

Most of the snail species tolerate brackish water too. So it will propably be ok.

I just thought about what slugs do when they get salt on them, not pretty as I recal so I thought I should check. Whats about melafix? Will that hurt them?

I've used salt and melafix with my snails,I have apple snails,trumpet snails and pond snails. Never hurt them. Just be sure not to use any meds with copper in them. Copper kills snails.
