I bought a strain of guppy some weeks ago.
I haven't taken photo and now my camera's battery is too low.
Well they are Japan blue with clear round tail.
And what I thought is good aabout this strain is that their dorsal is big and looked like that of red grass.
The female had no color.
In this case what do you think the dorsal trait is linked to?
Is this Y or X linked?
I want to use this strain to make a strain of japan blue double sword have a good dorsal fin.
I think I will take photo tomorrow.

Above two shows the strain I want to make it have better dorsal fin color.
The male has only a little blue color on dorsal fin.

And this is the strain with good dorsal fin color.

This is close view of the female.

Well, the color of the dorsal is determined by the male. But from experience I do have to say that each individual japan blue male can show different colors in the dorsal and even translucent. So, it's not that every male offspring will show the same coloration in the dorsal.

Thank you two of you!
Oh maybe I have written confusing sentences.
Above two picture and below two picture show totally different strain from different shop.
And I am thinking of crossing them and make a strain that has red colored dorsal and yellowish double sword.
If the dorsal color is determined by male I will cross male of below strain and female of upper strain.
Well, I think I will just go for it.
