Is My Shark Too Big?

I currently have a 125l tank (juwel rio 125) with a albino rainbow shark in. The shark has been in for about 1.5 years now and he has reached 5 inches and about 3/4 of an inch thick. Its a really lovely fish (one of my best) and non aggressive so an extra bonus!

is he too big for my tank? he doesnt usually swim that much, just hides and swims around towards the evenings

he will be alright for a while but if he gets any bigger than 8" i would move him

i only know when my uncle went to buy a rainbow shark he was told that the recommended tank size for a rainbow is over 200 litres
i would google it if you dont get many replies from shark keepers , cos you dont want to keep him in the wrong size tank

he will be alright for a while but if he gets any bigger than 8" i would move him

He's not likely to grow any bigger considering this species's max size is 5-6 inches

I'd say minimum suggested tank size is around 50USG,
however if the fish is healthy and not causing no problems then I say leave him be,
(125l is a lot more than what some people keep them in)

well i think he has done ok. i took him from a 30l biorb and he had ragged fins. he was 2 inches then and about 1cm thick so i think ive done well to rear him to what he is now, i just dont want to let him go

other stock is:

3 cory cats
1 rubbernose pleco
5 harlequin rasboras
8 cardinal tetras
5 rummynose tetras
