Is My Platy Pregnant?

In my fish tank i have 2 rasboras, 2 ballon molies, 4 platies, 6 neon tetras and 2 gold barbs. Recently one of my male platies have died and its " gilfriend" has got fat i dont feed them much and i can see a black line on its body that i havent noticed before. Is it pregnant? When will it finish? Thanks.

it probably is pregnant. i think they are pregnant for about 3 to 4 weeks but someone will come along and ive you a more accurate time.

gestation period can be lessened by turning the heater up slightly

If you can add some pictures of it that would be helpful and we may be avle to assist your more.
