I recently bought 1 female and 1 male Kribensis. the female is ready for breeding and has been doing her little "twitch" dance for him. On his left side there is a strange white marking which looks a little like his scales are coming away from him and i was wondering if this is something wrong?

i did have a guppy die the other day he had a white fungus and scales pulling away (dropsy) and was also very bloated. i found him dead in the morning with his fins eaten and the bottom of his belly was also eaten away. i has put in some interpet anti internal bacteria medicine and i no this goes in in 2 doses so i have done the first dose. and also an other one of my guppies has developed a white fungus as well.

so far my guppies seem to get it and die off one by one despite me treating it with some other kind of medicine. i have attached a link to view some pictures of the krib and any help will be much appriciated!

Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 20

havnt tested Ph recently

Fish
the 2 Kribs
2 male dwarf gouramis
3 peppered corys
1 bristlenose catfish
2 male guppies
3 female guppies
1 betta (i no bad idea having with guppys but he seems to be absolutly fine with them - no issues)

also have a small breeding tank in the main one with 8 guppy fry

hmm, its hard to say what it is.. i think probably a fungus infection or he could have grazed against something. Id just kep treating with the meds. Although in that pic he seems reasonably well coloured so doesn't show many signs of being too bothered by it

yeah he has still got all his color and very active, like u said he could have grazed it. they do like to make some strange shaped maneuvers sometimes. i will keep an eye on it and treat as normal hopefully wont be anything to worry about.

Many thanks
