Is my amazon puffer skinny, it has not eaten for 5 days

It may not want food now. Have you tried changing the diet up a little bit?

He isn't 'skinny' but he is borderline skinny.... he should certainly be more plump! How are his teeth and what foods are you offering? Mine always loved a good mix of bloodworm, krill, Mysis, brineshrimp, prawn, cockle and muscle etc.... or whitebait.
 
Also, if you are feeding live snails, are you treating him for internal parasites as well?
