ive got a tank of guppies and a tank of mosquito fish.
can they cross-breed? if they can i want to try it

well if you mean gambusia then it hasnt been proven. These arent reccomended to be housed together though, gambusia are extremely aggressive to guppies, if you could keep it alieve enough with a gambusia ,( that of course would be stressful) its possible for infertile offspring to occur.

There are a couple of different species that are referred to as "Mosquitofish" - do you know the scientific name of the species you are referring to.

I highly do not recommend you to put anything with gambusia. They are agressive.

another is hybridation.
It can cause offspring to have deformities and be sterile.
Have you seen a Parrot cichlid? that is an example of a hybrid
