I have an empty 30gallon tank.
Would it be possible to house one of each of the following;
Labidochromis Caeruleus ( Yellow Lab )
Pseudotropheus Saulosi ( Saulosi )
Melanochromis johannii ( Electric Blue Johannii )
Pseudotropheus Acei ( Yellow Tail Acei )

in a 30g tank could I have them 4 together happily?

No. I have 5 labs in a 30g, it's the exception, not the norm. All those fish need a lot of rock work. I would suggest a bigger tank.

yeah agreed, there are species that may work in a tank that size, but unfortunately your stocking wouldnt fit.In general, you need a 4ft long tank and even then a 40 gallon long usually wouldnt suffice for a mbuna tank unless your stocking dwarf cichlids or less agressive species. I guess you could chance it if you wanted to try adding one or two at a time, but some of those species grow to be quite big ( my yellow tale acei is over six inches)but again you could try it but like i said most people are not going to recommend it.

i would say most will still not recommend it but its a better option than before. I have 15 in my 55 gallon tank. they are one of the less aggressive species, but would need a lot of rockwork as they are quite shy and will like to hide. if you were to try it im not sure how many i would try in a 30 gallon. i would ask kribensis as he had 5 in his 29 but like he said , his successful experience is an EXCEPTION not the norm

What cichlids will be happy in a 30g tank?

Is it standard 29 Gallon tank thats 30 inches or a 30 long thats 36 inches? The 30 Long is better than the 29 Gallon tank. I would say stick with a dwarf species (those that stay under 4inches as full grown adults. Only one species. One male and 3 to 6 females. Cynotilapia afra ( any local will work),Pseudotropheus polit,and Iodotropheus sprengerae come to mind. The tank will need to have a lot of rock.

48"x12"x15" A bit higher than 30g i think.

wow sounds like you have a 40 gallon long, which completely changes your options. generally you want a 48in tank and atleast 55gallons but a 40g would work you may just not be able to stock as many. as for the yellow labs, i think you could definitely do those, take a look at the journal in my signature as this is a similar size tank.
