So we have a crayfish in our university house community gallon. Don't know what type of crayfish it actually is, that was an earlier post :P (it's browny/red with blue claws).

Anyways my roommate after a discuss how to keep the rest of our fish in the tank alive, decided to go to the freezer, cook one of those jumbo shrimp that we eat and fed it to the crayfish - it actually hasn't killed anything since then. But my question is that alright for the crayfish to eat? and how often to crayfish actually need to eat

Also does anyone know how often crayfish molt?

Perfectly ok for a crayfish to eat that, ok for fish and the like too.

Keep in mind, it doesn't matter if it's full or not, crayfish are nocturnal predators by nature and will kill anything they can get ahold of.

Hi crayfish only need to eat a couple of times a week, but they are opportune hunters and if a fish comes close it will be food. Remember that they need veg too, mine loves peas.
