Hi All,

As you may of seen on my other post i was given some baby platies in a very small 15 litre tank.

The guy i believe was maybe going to flush them and i said i will take them off you and care for them.

He was in a bit of a rush and didnt get his number so couldnt phone him when i got back switched the heater on and my glass thermometer started getting towards 30C/86F.

So from what ive seen on google, they are meant to be kept between 26-28, so what i did was turn the heater down. they are now ( 1 thermomter says 26, 1 says 27).

Can i rely on glass thermometers?? they are oppsote end to the heater and very good circulation in the tank.

Please help,

thanks

Dave

I'd suggest keeping them at 23-25. Try a good brand aquarium thermometer.
