Inverts With Fish Diseases?

Hey I'm sure that this is a stupid question and that it can't happen, but... does anyone know whether Shrimp can catch Dropsy? at least thats what I assume it was.

I had a Fighter who's head and stomach inflated, scales pushed out then he died . I now have shrimps feeding on him, I have taken him out but they have eaten most of him. Will they get ill!!!
