Turns out to be a mini sort of rescue! He has white cloudy eyes and wart looking white spots on his back. I've been told to treat him with some Protozin, which im going to have to find somewhere!
He also is a very tricky person to feed! He ate live bloodworm on the day I bought him, but doesnt even touch his hikari pellets, nor the frozen daphnia. He ate some of the pea I fed him today, though.
With any luck, little thorn will be all healthy again in no time:)

I know the pictures are very light, its a crappy 2mp phone quality! I was thinking of using sand but the gravel I had already boought :(

looks good tho, hope the betta gets better. (w-hey betta and better!) i have a shrimp tank that i want to do up thats about the same size i think.

He's a lucky little guy! I bet he doesn't care what colour the gravel is!

you need more ottos and corries in you 55g sharron. they need to be in groups of 5+

He is sweet! he will eat those pellets eventually, but feed him stuff he likes for now whilst he is getter better, and then you can wean him onto pellets when he is in full health! That is what I am doing with my rescued Blackbeard :p Spoiling him for a few days whilst he gets his strength up!

they are live plants. The lights are strong it looks, I can just have a blue one on, but apparently with both the white and blue it helps the plant growth? I have the lgiht on for moderate times in the day

He has a nice log to hide in when he doesn't want to be looked at anyway :p Tank looks great, I like the gravel colour personally! And if those plants do well it will soon look even better!

Thorn's tank looks great and he's going to love it in there :good:

Nothing wrong with the gravel at all, I have the same in one of ours

lovely fish and lovely tank! I have a sick betta, one of my old guys. I thought he had gone the other day but he is still alive. He has been refusing food and then I remembered some fry food I had, and he loves it!

Its from a book (The inheritence cycle,Eragon,Eldest,Brisingr) all about dragons. I figured when I went to shop for one the one that made me want him would be named after one dragon from the book, the red one being Thorn :D!

He is a pretty boy. I miss my red betta
Anyway, he is really handsome. Oh ya, I love his name too!
