Interpet Finrot No 8

I have started dosing Jackson's Tank with this med. His fins are looking strange..the ends look like they are sticking together making a point...and in the centre of his tail fin it has started going a grey colour..I assume tis is finrot?
My Question is....
There is nowhere on the instructions that say how often to dose..
I have a 60L tank, so i worked out to dose 11ml of the med mixed in 1/2 pint warm tap water (do i dechlorinate?btw)
It says to wait 7 days to dose any OTHER meds to the tank....but do i need to repeat the No 8

I believe this is a weekly dosed med. Really the best cure for finrot etc is large water changes every other day (not the day after adding the medication). Adding the med stops the rot progressing, and the fins heal with the aid of the very clean water. If no improvement after a week, add another dose.

So it's not so much a cure - you add it to stop it getting worse.

Yes, dechlorinate the water you add it with - though tbh I usually just scoop some tank water out rather than faff around dechlorniating mls of water.

ah right...didnt really make it clear on the bottle. (not for stoopid ppl anyway)
last night he went downhill and started to look as if he was dying. He was staying in one corner and only going up for air.
I honestly didnt think he would last the night.
This morning no improvement but water tested 0-0 again...so left it.
This afternoon i just wanted to do something to help him...so i have done a big W/C (90%) and he has perked up slightly, but his tail looks a mess.
should i redose ...or...leave it a few days and start again?
