Interpet Bioactive Tap Safe

Hi, I always use Interpet Bioactive tapsafe. I had a whiff of it today and it smells like egg, is that normal? thanks, Mat

Im not sure about the Interpret stuff but I have always used Prime and it smells pretty awful.........

Doesn't sound right. I use that product and have never had any smell off it.

Wow, what an incredibly useful response. You said Prime smells awful - not that it smells of eggs. You also didn't say it was meant to smell bad - it uses hydrosulphite salts to remove ammonia, so is meant to smell of eggs. Certain other conditioners contain chemicals that shouldn't smell of eggs, but can do if they decompose.

But I can imagine your response isn't going to be constructive.

Prime stinks! Like a mixture of old farts/eggs!

I was gonna say I'd guess it's normal but if Liverbird says no then maybe you should get another bottle to be on the safe side. If it doesn't smell then you know you did the right thing and if it does....oh well you have 2 bottles which you'll go through eventually anyway.

I have always used Bioactive Tapsafe and it smells very slightly of washing up liquid. Have never had it smell of eggs. I'd take it back if I were you. Tapsafe should have a pleasant smell.
