Internal Biofilter With Trickle.

I currently have a Fluval 3 Plus in my 100l tank. I really would like to improve the filtration in my tank so that I can incorporate mechanical and biological filtration, possibly trickle filtering as well. However, I do not have the space (or the wife's blessing ) to use an external filter.

I've found the Fluval Biolife filter, but this has just been discontinued by, so feel I reluctant to purchase an obsolete piece of equipment.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for similar products?
