Instead of posting any more topics i will just ask on thise one

I want to grow some LPS such as brain, candy and elagance corals. Do these corals need Halide meatlic or will they grow under T5 . T5 with 4 39 watt bulbs and 3 luners Is thise a good light.

What are sun coral and where can i get them.


Is thise a good skimer . SeaClone Protein Skimmer Is the 100 gal one good are should i cough up the extra $20 and get the 150 gal rated one. Ps. tank will be 30 Gallons

That light is great and well-suited for LPS corals, good pic

Avoid seaclone skimmers like the plague. They're pieces of junk. For that matter, keeping most LPS will not require a protein skimmer on a 30g unless you try and cram too many fish in there. If you still do want an HOB skimmer, consider Coralife superskimmers or AquaC skimmers (if in the US). I'm pretty sure most UK guys suggest V2 or Deltec skimmers but I'd double check on that if I were you .

Do you know anything about sun coral look cool but i cant find any info on there feeding,lighting,water movment or any where u can buy them.

Sun corals are very difficult to keep as they require target feeding of shrimp. Not the best choice for a beginner IMO . That coralife skimmer is a good one and actually a pretty decent price from liveaquaria.

Has any one know about the Visi-jet skimmer. I need a small skimmer for a 15 gallon tank.

Yer i would say get either coral life or v2 tbh they are pretty much exact same design i noticed! Yer they are good light systems ive got a arcadia one with 4x54 watt man its the don!
Shouldnt need a skimmer for a 15 gallon its classed as a nano and aslong u keep up your water changes etc you wont need one.

Niz i know its not neaded but if i can get one for about $20 to $30 i am gouing to so if anyone knows about a good nano skimmer than please let me know.

callum_parsons i dont know if they sell the that light but i do know u can buy t5 bulbs,reflectors,ballests,and leds in England .
Ps. you can buy computer fans that have 4 to 6 red or blue leds in them.You can take the lights out of the fans or use the hole fan with the lights. the fans run for $11.oo usa.Much cheaper than luner lights.

Fair enough m8 . Arcadia do one like mine which has same amount of watts in each bulb minus the fans cos it get hot but dont heat the tank tbh. Try ebay.

I am still looking for a good nano skimmer. The guy at my lfs said i should use a bak pak but that is a litle expesive. The Workers at DeathCo said " Whats a skimmer?"


Is thise a good skimmer Fission Nano-Skimmer

Ok so i was thinking that maybe i could save some cash buy buying T5 bulbs and ballests seperate .
Please tell me if i can . I am looking for a ballest that can handle about 4 t5 bulbs that are 24 inches any good websites in the US.

I was thinking of mounting some compact flurecents but i want to have brain coral so any advice.

if you wanted 4 t5's you would need at least 2 starter units most come as doubles, depending on what u want to get from the light it is normally cheaper to buy the lights this way if you dont mind doing a bit of installation to get them into your tank.

if you dont mind getting second hand starters then have a look on ebay and just get the tubes new, ull save yourself a bundle
