Info On These Fish

I saw some very interesting looking fish at a not so LFS.

I think they were Long finned leopard Danio at £2.20 a piece.

Anybody know or have any of these?

Would they fit in with my tank (see sig) and what's the best number?

Any special requirements?

They are a color/fin morph of zebra danios. Same care/requriements/temperment.

Yep i've got them. Same as other zebra danio basically. They just have long fins. I think they are a really beautiful fish with the long fins.
Well how many of each fish do you have in the tank? They like open swimming places. And also are a bit nippy sometimes with other fish, (that is tail nippy).

I have 2 of them mixed with zebra danios in a 20gallon tank. Along with corydoras and an ADF and also an Apple Snail. They all get along just great!!

Yes they look really great fish! My megre selection consists of 1 female Platy, 2 male Guppies, 2 female Dwarf Gouramis, 5 Corys, 4 Ottos, 2 Neon Tetras (I know they should be in a shoal but they are old and I don't want more) Most of these are left overs or strays (not the cory or ottos) so I don't know what direction to go in.
The shop said they were fin nippers so maybe not good with guppies?

The only experience with other fish with them that I have had. Are the cories, ottos, neons, and swordtails. I cannot offer advice further then that b/c I can't gurantee how they'll interact with the guppies, gouramies, and platy that you have. So hopefully someone else can.

Oh I just remembered! My boyfriend has a tank with platys and zebras together. And they are doing just fine. So the danio would be fine with neons, the platy, cories, and ottos as far as i know.

Wow, thanks for all that......looking at them I think I might just re-home my guppies for a shoal of L F L Danios
