I'm setting up a densly planted 450litre, I'm quite experienced with Discus and plants but do you think this is too much stock?

7 Discus
6 Rams
75 Rummynose
10 Pygmy Cories

Do you think I should drop the rams? I dont want a tank with what looks like to much going on, the cories I know will shoot up to the surface from time to time but I need them to clean up any bits of dropped food. What would you do? I know I can have like 9 Discus but I dont want it over stocked.

I'd drop the Rams and go for a less is more approach, and trade the Pygmy Cory's for something like Sterbai Corydoras, basically something that will be happy at higher temperatures, it is likely that Pygmy Cory's will be eaten by the Discus.

I think the numbers are fine however.

Can't wait to see this Steve, should look excellent especially with the massive group of rummy's. Can't really help you with stocking, but if you're worried then leave the rams out and see what it looks like, then if you think it could take them, add them!

sounds like a lovely tank , i agree that sterbai corys would be better altho this is due to temperature , theres pretty much zero risk of corys being eaten by discus .

altho i may be tempted to go along the lines of

10 discus
50 rummynose
2 rams
12 sterbai corys
