Was this one of the two that was unspawnable for another aquarist?

Sí, este pez es el macho de la pareja que no desovar. Desgraciadamente, la mujer ha desaparecido, así que sólo tienen los hombres. Al parecer, el varón es una rara Kribensis. Él es un "Pelvicachromis taeniatus" Muyuka

In english:
Yes, this fish is the male of the pair that would not spawn. Unfortunatley, the female has gone missing, so i only have the male. Apparently the male is a rare Kribensis. He is a " Pelvicachromis taeniatus " Muyuka "

sorry Krib, dont know what it could be, maybe he'll calm down after a bit, could still be settling in...
Hope it works out!

The spanish made me lol, could only translate half

lol. I could only translate a little ( Google translate is my friend). I wish i was that good at Spanish! Well, i did a Water change yesterday and treated him with CopperSafe again. Still no eating. GRRRRR.

i use brine shrimp and blood worms with fish that won't eat.
i would also lower the pH to about 7-8.

Hi
Only just noticed your thread sorry.

A fish that is flicking itself against things normally indicates Ich. As this is a brand new fish with no tank mates, and your water is good, its likely to have come in with it. Although stress from moving can bring on illness.

There are many meds that can help with Ich. Are there any other symptoms, white spots, red streaks around the gills etc?

Check out the pinned "Fish Disease" topics, can normally find an answer there :good:

He is showing no signs of ich. I am treating with CopperSafe, which would rid of the ich. I was at a lock in from yesterday to today. I haven't seen him flick yet. He still will not eat. I don't know what's wrong with him!
