Im Worried

50% water changes daily, with a little cooler water. Try live food, brine shrimp is usually a good one, and pretty easy to find. Pretty sure someone in tctfs sell blackworms, they will work too. Kribs are riverine cichlids, a bit more water current may help.

I will try that. I am just unsure of why he isnt eating. That is more worrying to me than him actually not eating. I wan't to know if it is contagious ect.

With him being moved into a new tank on his own, and with transportation etc, it could be down to stress.. How long has he been in this new tank for? What are you normally feeding him on? Maybe try sinking granules?

with the water parameters being so good, and only the one fish in there, i would definately go against 50% daily water changes.. In your position i wouldnt change 50% in a week pal.. If he still flicks and is not eating, i would advise treating your tank with half the stated dose of methylene blue, after that has cleared away, do 20% water change, and maybe add one or two fish to his tank.. Obviously not ones bigger than he is, wouldnt want to spook him.. Try easing his stress levels, maybe adding an anti stress remedy? Hope all ends well. Dean

I normally feed cichlid growth formula pellets and earth worm flake. I will try some meth blue. I have some baby convicts I can put in with him. He may even decide he is hungry!

Ok well like i said, try some sinking granules, maybe try turning the lights off for 15-20 mins after you have put the food in? Anythings worth a try =] also once it sees other fish eating in the tank, it might encourage him to. Keep me posted mate, let me know how you get on with the feeding, and the meth blue. Dean =]

Any excess mucas on his body.
Check his gills to see if they look pale with excess mucas or red and inflamed.
Any red pierce marks on the fish.
Does the fish swim oddly like in a jerky movement.
Does the fish dart around the tank.

No excess mucas.
Gills look fine.
No red marks.
He swims okay.
He dosen't dart.

He still won't eat. Show no intrest in the food at all.

How often is the fish flicking as they will flick now and then.
Added anything to the tank that could be irratating him.
Try some garlic juice to stimulate his appetite, just soak food in garlic juice.

Check his anus to see if it's enlarged or red and inflamed.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.

I haven't seen him flick since Sat. But he was flicking constantly. The only chemical in the tank mis Dechlorinator and CopperSafe( appropiate levels). His anus isnt enlarged or inflamed. I haven't seen him use the bathroom( which would stand to reason, since he isnt eating)

Sometimes internal parasites for some reason can make them flick and not eat.
The only other thing is to try some garlic in his food.
Usually a sign of stressed fish can be being pale and clamped fins.

He is pale. He was fine and eating at the other guys house. The only thing i can think of, is the fact the krib was in a bag of like, 3 inches of water for 3 hours ( long meeting). The water was warm though, it was in a styrofoam box.

Ok.
How long have you had him now.
It can take a few or more days for fish to settle down and eat.

That'sa bit long then.
Try the garlic and if no improvement get back to the board.
