He eats and swims fine.
But he has a huge lump on his side, its only on one side, and it doesn't make his scales protrude outwards.
It kind of looks like a growth.
And i'm worried the other fish in the tank could stress him out more than he needs.

Should i move him to a smaller tank?
He's in the 60 litre right now and i have a 25 liter sitting around doing nothing
Could this stress him out more?

Is there any medication i could treat him with ?

i treated the water with something that kills the bacteria.
If it is a bacteria that causes it

I have a picture yes, i will upload that soon.

He just tends to sit on the bottom, on top the thermometer or filter and heater areas, or on top of plants.
He's not as active as he used to be.

Me too D:
some days he seems fine and others i'm worried he's about to die

He's an old boy isn't he? such a beautiful fish :) looks full of attitude too  the lump could be anything, worse case senario a tumor or perhaps a cyst though he could just be constipated, older bettas get this easier and because they are little pigs you'll find they'll eat all the other fishes food too! I'd put him in the 25l and fast him for a few days, perhaps giving him a deshelled pea and seeing how he responds.

Nope hes not old and i didnt feed him for a few days and it didnt make a diffrernce, i think its cancer

I'm sorry to say this but it looks like a tumor to me, I've seen some on Betta fish and that looks identical to what I've seen. Does the area look discolored at all, if so then I'm almost sure that It is a tumor

No it dosent which is what's throwing me off.

Tahnks sausage :D
he really is a little cheeky monster though, he was sat in my hand flalring at me today ROFL

Another thing is his fins have like almost 1cm of regrowth in 2 weeks D:

It seems a little less swollen today, fingers crossed it won get bigger

he is adorable in that video. Very froggy. He seems very healthy. It might be a tumor but it doesn't appear to be affecting him and I've had a Betta with a tumor before and he just went through his life with it and it never really effected him. I'd get the NEONs out of that tank with him because they are Fin nippers and his fins are like candy to NEONS.

I ahve neons with mine and they are little sweet harts, my betta doesnt have a single nip in his tail. i have 11 neons

And you are not the first to successfully keep NEONS with BETTAS. I have heard of others who have not had the fin nipping problem with Bettas and NEONS. But NEONS are fin nippers and I've seen what they can do to a Betta first hand (dumb me). Maybe it depends on the agressiveness of the Betta to keep the NEONS at bay, I really don't know. The thing about Bettas is though they are very agressive to each other, they are not very agressive to other fish unless they feel threatened or get into a territorial fight.

If you do mix these species I recommend you keep a close eye on them looking for any sign of fins being nipped on the Betta.

Thanks

And maybe you should learn your fish, since first they are too big to be neons and secondly they are Cardinal tetras, the bigger version of neons.

And i have no problems with them nipping what so ever.
