I am really really really stuck, i got a rekord 60, around 12 uk/imperial galons, i was going to stock it with shell dwelling cichlids (N.multifacius) but it is virtually imposable for me to lay my hands on them  so im stuck! I am looking for something a little different, wich i no is hard in a small tank, any ideas :S

Puffer? Abei/fangs/salavitor/dwarf/figure 8 etc.
Gobies? bumblebee/peacock/white cheek/knight etc.
Possibly a small snakehead species?
Badis?
South American leaf fish?
Killifish?
Dwarf sunfish?
Prehistoric Monster Fish?
Small cichlids? Dwarf acara's/rams/kribs/N. brichardi/Juli's/Egyptian mouthbrooders etc.
Other shell dweller species? brevis etc.
Small gourami's? Honey's/chocolate etc.
Sailfin tetra? Or any other small species.
Small catfish? Banjo/bumblebee etc. Cories and small plecs as well.
Small barbs? Pentazona etc.
Small loches? Khulie/chain etc.
Dwarf rainbows?
Hillstream loaches/minnows and other subtropicals?
Shrimp/crayfish (is you didn't live in the UK)/ADF/ACF etc.

There are loads of options. Are you after a species tank? Mixed fish? Small bio type? One fish? Lot's of fish? Colour? Activity? Unique/weird?

i have got absalutly nooo idea, preferably something that prefers harder water, and is relitivly hardy.

great ideas jayjay WOW!
Caino- check the stickied links in the oddballs section, you can get some ideas in there too!

If you consider going brackish(?) go for an F8. That's what I'd do personally, also add a small group of bumblebee gobies (give them lots of holes tog et away from the puffer at times). Both hardy and good for hard water.

Yeh, it have been searching around on the brackish forum and doing reading on that, i may, or i may get shell dwellers, i dont know what to doooo :hyper: mite start a poll, and iff i go with brakish, how large a group of bbg?

What filtration you going to use? Normal Jewel? Maybe 3 or 4? Though I recommend to change the filter, or add another.

Hmm I will probably do away with the Juwel box, and opt for external, if i am going to go brackish i mayaswell do it properly, can i pm you?+

this is kind of off the subject just a little but I was wondering what a dwarf sunfish is and what they look like, I've seen alot of this kind of fish mentioned on forums but I don't know what dwarf ones are. I've caught the large ones out of lakes and ponds and I love to eat them but I'm thinking that this is not that kind of fish.

Enneacanthus chaetodon and Enneacanthus gloriosus are examples of dwarf sunfish.
