I'm New Here And Need Help With Stocking The Tank

My son just moved back home to finish college here and brought along his 55-gallon aquarium -- I have fallen in love with it!! He has one Red Texas Flowerhorn about the size of my hand - maybe 7" - and I'm wondering what other fish could be successfully added to the tank. My son had tried to add some while at school but the flowerhorn ate his competition. Any suggestions?

actually flower horns are quite aggresive so i would actually say thats kinda it, but there should be someone else who might recomend some thing else.

This tank isnt really appropriate for the flowerhorn. he wants alot more space, probably about double what he has. they are really territorial as well. adding this to the fact he is in a restricting area i wouldnt add anything to the tank. if i were you i would rehome the flowerhorn and restock the tank. good luck

I wouldn't recommend putting anything in there with him I think only bad could come from that!

Agreed on both counts.
The floweorn should have a 75g footprint minimum.
And is is highly unlikely the flowerhorn will allow any tankmates.
