Well, I'm getting back to the hobby and I realize now that as a kids we were doing it all wrong...
I've recently set up a 75 gal aquarium and I'm afraid I kind of rushed the process and I'm paying the price for my impatience. Finally my ammonia levels have dropped off to 0-0.25ppm but I am definitely having a problems with nitrites and nitrates... even after a 50% water change my levels are high.
What is going on here? Any suggestions on getting a handle on my nitrate issue? Thanks!!!
