Soo I'm back on the forum with convicts now instead of apistos, we have lots of eggs that are a pinky colour. Need some advice really I have photos but can't upload them from my iPhone. Both parents are guarding but there is a white blob on each egg any ideas?

sounds like they're close to hatching, but i've been wrong before. From my understanding, nothing to worry about, But wait around and someone with better experience will be able to give you a definite answer.

white blobs on the eggs is a fungus which means the eggs are infertile if they where fertile they would have a black dot in it

Is the white blob fluffy? I have bred the closely related HRPs that had yellow eggs which go slightly clear white in the middle then you see the black spot appear.

Wills

Hello wills long time no see, I've also found some more under another rock that look black/ brown the eggs don't look fluffy white tho

So I have 1 batch of pinky brown colour eggs with a identical white blob on each egg also found another batch under a rock close to the other eggs which look like wrigglers but there still attached/stuck to the under surface of the rock, these are a brown/black colour but awkward to see them. I have good pics of the pinky brown ones but can't upload :(

All gone :( pinky brown eggs turned white an were eaten and brown black ones have disappeared always next time

sorry about that is it your convicts first Spawn?

Convict are easy to breed. All you need is water. The female con. will lay more eggs. Not to worry.
If the eggs were eaten then there may be a problem going on in the tank. Check you water. That would be the only reason the eggs were eaten.Convicts are the BEST FISH PARENTS EVER. And they will protect the young ones from any and all dangers. When your next brood hatches and they get about 2inches and your breeding pair lay then hatch MORE eggs you will see just how good these Parents can be about protection.   Have Fun
