thats horrible good luck to you buddy but fin rot isn't really that hard to deal with with the right medication and water change it just takes time to recover thats all. And little peacock.
That's terrible but be strong. We're not going to give up on you and we completely understand when it all goes 'tits up'!! The great thign about this forum is we can share our heartbreaks and our dramas and support one another. You'll get through this and be a stronger and better fish keeper because of it.
Thank you everyone for all your kind words..they really mean a lot to me
It is difficult never knowing what killed a fish..especially when they appear to be healthy and just die for no reason At least with all these experiences I am getting better at being able to diagnose different diseases. It's when you don't know whats wrong that makes you feel the most hopeless.
Right now it's the waiting that I can't stand. Waiting for the treatments to be over, waiting to see if they are going to pull through, waiting to see re-growth etc etc. I don't even feel like being home I just want all the days to pass by until they are all well again.
I'm just trying to pin point exactly what I've done wrong so I can become a better fishkeeper. The reasons why my fish got fin rot I couldn't of known would happen. I didn't overstock or not do enough water changes they were just unfortunate things that I have to learn from. I am the type of person that has an easy time beating myself up for small things though. I don't like failing.
Being able to talk to all of you on here makes things a lot easier. I know I will try the peacocks again I just need to fix everything thats going on now before I do.
