Create a budget, but set your priorities!
I have wasted money on the poshest gravel, and prettiest decorations, and an expensive air pump all of which i dont really need.
I am left scraping together my pennies and having to wait for my next pay day to buy the essentials that need to be high quality i.e. a really decent heater, filter, lighting.
Now I know the essentials and what costs what, but i have wasted alot of money. I wish i had researched my tank needs and the money needed for the equipment first and not made such a silly mistake by jumping into my first fish tank!
