hmmm thats the other part of the dilemma. i toyed with growing an anubia on top of it but with the wood being so big i thought the anubia may be a bit too close to the light as i have read that they like a shady area of the tank. and if i grow moss on it would it spoil it.

anda good point there stoneagedinosaur i have now added a 3rd answer

id do neither id grow riccia on the curv at top it would be look awsome with the fresh green colour

so ive nulled voted

vic im not really a lover of java fern . bae its gonna be a low tech setup , doesnt riccia require co2 to thrive?

well i was suggested it for my 10 litre and it has no co2 and is growing well but i am using tpn+ and easycarbo (but the latter is no benefit to the riccia as it hates the stuff but still growing with me dosing it)

arrrghh too many good ideas lol . well i got a couple of weeks to decide so im sure il keep deciding and changing etc

I would go for option D! Both! I would put an Anubias on the bottom loop and then place some moss on other areas.

Incomplete poll. If it were me, I'd put Bolbitis fern. A big, showy plant for a big showy piece of wood.

llj

hmmm thats thrown a spanner in the works ( but in a good way) i like the look of that fern , so much nicer looking than java fern . is it easy to grow?

i think you should just give that wood to me, Mark.
