Only two of the links work.

Haven't a clue based on those pics tbh.

Best thing would be to let them relax (they're very very stressed in those pictures). And then take more pictures once they've settled and coloured up a bit.

Also for apisto id'ing it really is best if you can get side on shots with fins erect, otherwise it can be very very hard to tell.

Best way to tell females from males though (if that's what you're after?) is that females go yellow when they're happy and/or ready to breed.

Hmm, from my experience (which isn`t expansive mind) I`d say Fish 1 is a male and 2 and 3 are females

1-Male-Apistogramma cacatuoides
2-Female-

3-Female-same as Fem. 2

female 1, possible agassizi, possible cockatoo.

female number 2 .. again possibly a cockatoo cichlid.

female number 3 looks like a cockatoo cichlid to me.

so I guess my votes are on cockatoo cichlids for all 3 then.

I was really sure, when you posted this in the new world section, that 2 were female cacatouides and 1 a female agasszi but now, they all look like some sort of crossbreeds. The female cacatouides just don't look right IMO

I disagree, I purchased some cacatouides yesterday, and the fish came from STE12000 who is a respected breeder and seller, and my female cacatouides (all 3) look the same as those, though the girls do look very stressed in all pics IMO and that could be throwing off verifications.

I've had plenty of females off ste too and none looked like those (I formed the ste madness on here btw). Mind you, I've never seen a cacatuoide stressed

Good for you. Mine are most likely stressed from overnight travel in a post van. Hence the stress.

And you formed the Ste Madness on here? Wow, big thing to take credit for, seeing as he did all the hard work. I'm sure you can understand how that can come across the wrong way.

Think your attitude needs to be kept in check

Not really...

1. What you said did make it seem like you were trying to brag about something for the sake of trying to brag. Many people will know of Ste12000, he's a great supplier of some top quality fish. Many will also know of him from lots of different sources.

2. This is totally off topic... so it honestly doesn't matter.

I'm just hoping the OP might post some more pics once the fish have settled to give people a better chance at id'ing the fish. :)

Stressed apistos can look like completely different genders/species to what they actually are. Plus side on shots would be much much easier to ID from.

My thanks.

And I agree, some side on photos would be helpful, and again as you suggested, when they are more settled we'll be able to offer more insight.
