Ideas needed for this tank..

I really would like to makeover my 10 gallon tank - changing the gravel, live plants, etc. I wanted to do a "sunken ship" theme with this tank, and I'm somewhat satisfied with the decorations - would like to add more of the "rock formations" in time though.

Here is the tank currently, it does need a lot of work, I know. I'm all up for your suggestions! This is a terrible picture, BTW.

Like I said, I appreciate any and all opinions you guys have! I'm looking to maybe have live plants and change the gravel - I don't think I am ready for a sand tank although I would love to have one.

Change to sand or maybe black fine gravel?

If you want to keep your ship, put it towards one corner and put a couple of live plants surrounding it... That would look great.

I thought about black gravel for it, I liked the idea, but I don't know if I could get it at a finer level. I have black gravel (mixed with natural) in my 6 gallon tank and I do like that so I will think about it. Thanks bunjiweb!

Yeah, I would like to keep the ship but what kind of plants would I use?

amazon swords are a really nice plant and readily available

Yeh I think you should go for the cleaner look with plants so like Amazon Swords, Anubi, Vallis etc.
