Ideas For My Empty Tank

My 350l tank has been sat empty in my living room for about a month now since i transfered the stock to the 650l, and my wife is getting anoyed saying if im not going to fill it i should sell it.... I dont think so!

So, im looking for some ideas of what to put in it. I am completely open to anything. But i really need some help deciding. so many choices

Ive been thinking... a breeding pair of cichlids, tonns of little fish, a bio type, something a bit different?

My wife would like a mbuna set up , but im a)not sure if the tank is long enough and b) not sure if the height of the tank would be wasted

The tank dimentions are a little bit unusual they are 47"x15"x30" so it is quite tall and thin.

I would either do the africans which would be cool and a good opportunity to do so here or a big shoal of geophagus/satanoperca maybe 4 of 2 species.

I would recomend some fire barb, they are stunning!

Plant it out with loads of giant vallis and have some zebra angels.

A South American biotape!
You could add some Hatchetfish, Discus, Altum angelfish, Cardinal or Rummynose Tetras and some Pencilfish

Mbuna would be a nice setup.

for me in a tank that size it would probably be a choice between a nice group of discus or an african tank. or maybe something ive always wanted to do but my brown thumb put me of. a full on hi tech planted community tank on a large scale. imagine the shoals you could have

i thought discus but i work away quite a bit and i dont think my wife would keep up wit the maintainance!

Would mbuna use the whole depth of the tank?

do you mean all levels ie top middle etc? if so mbuna are mid to bottom level fish so you could probably have some top dwellers but they would have to be carefuly chosen i think

yeah thats what i ment. what sort of top dwelleres go in african tanks?
