I added a female krib to main tank and she was a bully, and ripped up a platy's fins. At the moment she's on the naughty step i.e. in solitary in a fluval edge, clearly this won't do so today my MTS took hold and I ended up getting a second hand Fluval Roma 125.

My tanks so far:
200l tank, lots of bogwood and heavily planted with 8 zebra danios, 12 cardinal tetras, 6 peppered cories, two dwarf gourami, a baby bristlenose (new today) and 7 platies plus whatever male fry come out of the 12 guppies/platies in my 'nursery' tank.
65l tank, with mopani and bogwood and lots of plants, with 2 female guppies, 2 female platies, 8 pygmy cories and a clown plec.
A nursery tank with about a dozen assorted livebearer fry.
The edge is going as soon as the new tank is set up and I'm convinced it's cycled properly - The filter media which came with it was soggy but I don't know how long it had been out of the tank. It's got no ceramic media in the filter.

The new tank (the 125l) has a 3D rock/plant background and so i'm going to get some black sand and white rocks, plant it up a bit and make a bit of a rock theme.

Now I want to know who I can put in there! Ideally with Evil Mrs Kribensis, although if I have to rehome her I will, with a heavy heart. I am up for moving some folks around.

Would love to hear some suggestions! My PH out of the tap is about 7.8 although never looks the same on two readings so I tend not to worry too much about it.

Would I be able to have Bolivian Rams in any of these tanks? I saw some today and I would love to get a pair/group? but haven't done the research...but then i did the research on kribs and no one told me she would be such a moody cow!

Anyone?? Can I keep a pair of rams and a krib together, or are there similar fish I can have in a 125l?

Hi. I have a pair of rams, a male and a female and they stick together at the bottom of the tank. Have you looked at pearl gourami and rainbow fish?

Sounds good! Can't wait until its cycled, far too impatient but not as impatient as Mrs krib!

I've kept Bolivian Rams with breeding Kribs and they are fine together. If your not planning on a male Krib, then you will have no issues. You could potentially get 4 Bolivians in a 125 litre but would have to consider them the center piece fish, they do get to a nice size in time and while they spend more of the time hating one another, they do prefer to be in small groups. To be honest, you can or could, stock whatever you like with them, i've never had any issues with mine. I've actually got 4 Bolivians and 4 Firemouths in my 5 footer....fun :)

That's good to hear, thanks Tizer. I have started my journal HERE, so you can see the set up and maybe give me some tips on how to decorate with kribs/rams in mind?

Edit: Ye gods, I just looked up the African Butterfly fish. Not having that anywhere near my tank, ugly thing!
